At Prime Environmental NJ LLC, our New Jersey Licensed Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor certification allows us to professionally inspect, evaluate, and identify lead-based paint hazards in residential and commercial properties throughout New Jersey. This state-issued license is designed for trained environmental professionals who perform lead inspections, lead risk assessments, environmental sampling, and lead hazard evaluations in homes, apartments, rental properties, schools, childcare facilities, and commercial buildings. Lead hazards are commonly found in older properties built before 1978 where deteriorated lead-based paint, lead dust, and contaminated surfaces may create unsafe conditions for occupants, especially children and families.
As a licensed Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor, our work includes performing visual lead inspections, lead-safe evaluations, XRF lead testing, lead dust wipe sampling, and environmental assessments designed to identify lead-based paint hazards throughout the property. We inspect walls, ceilings, windows, doors, trim, railings, porches, stairways, siding, and other painted surfaces for signs of chipping, peeling, cracking, flaking, or deteriorated paint conditions that may create lead exposure concerns. Using professional XRF lead testing equipment, we are able to detect lead-based paint without damaging building materials while helping property owners better understand the condition of the property.
Our license also allows us to perform lead risk assessments designed to identify environmental conditions contributing to lead hazards inside homes and buildings. This includes evaluating friction surfaces, impact surfaces, deteriorated paint conditions, dust contamination, moisture damage, unsafe maintenance practices, renovation-related disturbances, and environmental conditions that may increase the risk of lead exposure. We also perform professional lead dust wipe sampling services to help determine whether hazardous lead dust may be present on floors, window sills, window troughs, and other surfaces throughout the property.
Many landlords and property owners throughout New Jersey require professional lead inspections to comply with state and local lead-safe requirements for rental properties. Our work helps property owners understand what conditions may fail a lead-safe inspection and what repairs or maintenance issues may need to be corrected before passing reinspection. We help identify unsafe painted surfaces, damaged areas, moisture-related deterioration, and environmental conditions that may contribute to lead hazards inside the property. Understanding the difference between lead-safe conditions and lead-free conditions is also an important part of our work. Lead-safe conditions generally mean painted surfaces are stable and not creating hazardous lead dust or deteriorated paint hazards, while lead-free conditions involve certified testing confirming the absence of lead-based paint hazards within tested building components.
As licensed environmental professionals, we are trained to provide accurate environmental evaluations, reliable reporting, laboratory coordination, professional documentation, and clear communication throughout the inspection process. Our reports help homeowners, landlords, tenants, contractors, businesses, and property managers better understand lead-related environmental conditions within the property while supporting safer indoor environments and informed decision-making regarding repairs, renovations, remediation, maintenance, or compliance requirements.
At Prime Environmental NJ LLC, we are committed to professionalism, environmental safety, accurate lead testing, dependable customer service, and helping protect families, tenants, and building occupants from potential lead hazards throughout residential and commercial properties across New Jersey.
